Here's how it works
When you donate the vehicle, it's sold at an auction with the net proceeds going to ThinkTV. You'll feel great about your tax-deductible donation, unloading an unwanted vehicle AND supporting ThinkTV!

What can I donate?
ThinkTV accepts useable but unwanted cars, trucks, motorcycles, boats and recreational vehicles of any model, make, and year.

How to donate
1. Have the following items ready when you call Vehicles for Charity at 1-877-308-2408
the title to the vehicle location of the vehicle general condition of the vehicle (This assists the tow company in scheduling appropriate arrangements.)

2. The towing company will need: the vehicle keys the title to the vehicle your signature authorizing the towA tow receipt will be given to you by the driver - verifying that your vehicle was received on behalf of ThinkTV.

Is this donation tax-deductible?
Yes. As of January 1, 2005, the law allows a deduction equal to the gross proceeds from the sale of your donated vehicle, because ThinkTV is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Please consult your tax advisor for more information.

How do I estimate the value of my car?
As of January 1, 2005, the law allows a deduction equal to the gross proceeds from the sale of your donated vehicle. Vehicles for Charity, which administers ThinkTV’s donation program, will notify you of the amount when your vehicle is sold. Please consult your tax advisor for more information.

"Noncash Charitable Contributions”
(IRS Form 8283) If the fair market value of the vehicle is $5000 or greater you must file this form with your tax return. Vehicles for Charity will include this form along with the donor letter. (irs publications web site)
