Community Voices

Do you have questions about foreclosure, how to find help, or, would like to know more about how the mortgage crisis is affecting our community? If so, we would like to hear from you. Please email your questions to mortgage@thinktv.org. Your questions will be addressed on July 23rd during the second half hour of ThinkTV and WHIO-TV’s hour-long simulcast special, also called Facing the Mortgage Crisis.

    i have 28 days to respond to a foreclosuer summons. what do i need to do right now ?? i am working with 5th 3rd bank to see if they can fix my loan. they keep telling me it is in review. my 28 days are up on july 27th.

    I would like to get some help with my mortgage and other house hold bills. I was behind on my house payment and made arrangements with the bank to see about lowering the payment, instead they sent me a notice of foreclosure and that is not want i want to do there are 5 people living in the house I am trying to find a job but have been unsucessful so far.     You can call United Way’s helplink at 2-1-1. They will be able to direct you to the best agency to help you. I would also suggest connecting with some of our resources partners such as the Miami Valley Fair House Center. http://thinktv.org/mortgagecrisis/?p=121

    The best places to call are United Way’s helpline at 2-1-1. They have professionals who could direct you to the best help. Also, a couple of our resource partners that would best fit your situation are HomeOwnership Center of Greater Dayton and the Miami Valley Fair Housing Center.
