Detroit is one of the cities that has been hardest hit by the economic recession. Arise Detroit, a media partner of WDET’s facing the mortgage crisis project, is looking for and creating ways to reinvent the Detroit area. Reinvention for Detroit has meant transforming foreclosed lots into green space as well as preparing for a new type of job market. Would these types of transformations work for Dayton? Do we, as much as Detroit, have to “find a whole new way of working”?
