A Place of Our Own is a fun, engaging and informational television series produced to help parents and caregivers prepare children to enter kindergarten. This award-winning show discusses ways to help children acquire cognitive, social, emotional and physical skills, as well as nurture language and
literacy development.

Parents and caregivers share insights and advice on how to raise smart, healthy and happy children.  The series illustrates ideal childcare practices and demonstrates everyday activities to engage children in learning through play.

Childcare Providers to be Honored

Ohio legislators will honor the contributions of twenty-two Ohio child-care providers during a Child-care Provider Appreciation Event held at the State House in Columbus on Wednesday,
May 13.   ThinkTV and A Place of Our Own have selected six caregivers from the greater Dayton area to be honored at the event including:  Ann DeRoo and Beverly Graham of Butler County; Cindy Fenter and Kathi Perri, Miami County; and
Kathe Kidwell and Amelia Rodgers of Montgomery County.

ThinkTV has produced spots for broadcast illustrating the quality care provided by each of these providers.  These spots will air after A Place of Our Own, weekdays at 2pm on ThinkTV16/WPTD and weekdays at 9am on ThinkTV14/WPTO.
