Brick by Brick Premieres on Broadcast this Month
We are excited to officially launch the broadcast portion of our multi-platform series, Brick by Brick: Solutions for a Thriving Community. The first 30-minute episode premieres Thursday, September 19, at 9pm and encores Sunday, September 22, at 1pm on CET, ThinkTV16, the station livestreams and on the PBS App.
Brick by Brick explores solutions to complex problems in our region. For season one, the team continues to focus on the housing crisis in Southwest Ohio – the lack of affordable and available housing is one of the most urgent issues facing our region. Learn more about the upcoming episode details and air dates below:
Episode 1

Episode one explores a new way to help prevent eviction and homelessness: data analytics. The Brick by Brick team takes a look at how predictive data can search for factors that can put individuals at a higher risk for homelessness and then create opportunities to intervene before it happens.
Episode 2
Thursday, October 17, at 9pm
Sunday, October 20, at 1pm
In episode two, the team explores one of the original solutions for housing stability: choice vouchers. The Brick by Brick journalists revisit this evolving program, once known as Section-8, to see what’s working, what’s not and what our region can learn from it.
Additional episodes will air monthly after October, but our schedules are not finalized.

As a multi-platform series, the Brick by Brick team also produces podcast episodes, articles and video stories. The podcast portion of the series premiered in March with host Ann Thompson, who is joined by multimedia journalists Emiko Moore and Hernz Laguerre, Jr. Together, they speak to area residents, community leaders and content experts, as well as regional and national scholars and solutionaries.
