How to Fix Audio Issues
We recently installed new encoders at all three of our stations. Some television sets are not picking up audio after the changeover. We have been able to get audio back on most sets using one of these methods:
- If there is a button labeled audio on your remote control, tune to one of the channels that does not have audio and push the button once. If the audio does not come back, push the audio button again. If still no audio, proceed to the next step.
- Do a rescan on your set. With many sets the audio will return. If not, go to step 3.
- Remove the channels with no audio from your channel memory. Go to 48-1, 48-2, and 48-3 and delete those channels using the add/delete menu. Then do a rescan and the audio should be there.
