Stream our First Family Webinar and Virtual Field Trip

As part of our Ohio Learns 360 project, we are offering weekly After School 360 programs, monthly family webinars and quarterly virtual field trips. Each program is designed for elementary school children, parents, caregivers, care providers and after-school program directors to help close the learning gap caused by COVID-19.
While the After School 360 programs are only offered live on Tuesdays at 4pm (sign up at www.OhioLearns360.org), the Family Webinars and Virtual Field Trips are being record, captioned in English and Spanish, and made available for streaming online and on the PBS App. We are also working on uploading them to YouTube. Two are currently available. Direct links are below or you can just search Ohio Learns 360 in the PBS App.
Our First Family Webinar: Educators, administrators and parents worked tirelessly to keep students engaged over the past two-and-a-half school years. And now we are discovering larger-than-normal gaps in learning. How will schools close these learning gaps and what can parents do to help? This webinar featured Dr. Barbara Boone, the principal investigator and director of the Ohio Statewide Family Engagement Center at The Ohio State University in the Center on Education and Training for Employment. Stream it online at https://video.thinktv.org/video/virtual-field-trip-cleveland-museum-of-natural-history-ert5ws/.
Our First Virtual Field Trip: This field trip included a visit to the Cleveland Museum of Natural History. Stream it online to peek into a Triceratops mouth to discover what teeth can reveal about ancient animal habitats, and learn about Balto “The Hero Dog” from Alaska and how he ended up in Cleveland. Stream it online at https://watch.CETconnect.org/video/closing-the-learning-gap-family-webinar-xkaaej/.
Our next Family Webinar will be held on Wednesday, November 9, at 6pm. You can register for that program online at https://osu.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_XRuFe_CFTkS3QSEx9Zz08A. We will be announcing a December date for our next Virtual Field Trip soon!
